10TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
Volies and Fundación Telefónica: more than a customer/supplier relationship
We have been developing projects together with Volies for several years, running our Technical Office, and organizing our annual International Volunteer Day together.
To highlight the complexity of the events that we carry out together, only this 2023 we have taken to the streets almost 8,000 people in Spain, with the difficulty of carrying out a simultaneous event for 4,000 of them.
Of all the things we have done together, I remember with gratitude how they followed us in our Digital Madness in the Pandemic.
The most important thing for us is how they have faced all the projects without fear, with flexibility, and how they have joined many of our ways of thinking, building how to put them into practice together.
For me, personally I can say that Volies, and especially Juan Angel, has been my coach when I joined the world of volunteering. The trust in Volies is the result of a job well done, transparency, loyalty and professionalism. These are the values that inspire our relationship after so many years.

Measuring impact: key to social transformation
One of the keys to social transformation is to have tools that measure its impact. Telefónica had the opportunity to be part of the impact measurement study of Voluntare, which among other things has served to value the real contribution of volunteering in quantitative terms, very close to the ROI.
A really measurable impact for us that is related to aspects such as:
The training by Volunteers in digital skills to different groups.
How it impacts on their improvement for employment and labor inclusion.
Or how they use digital tools or “manage” in digital environments.
Volies has contributed all these years to generate opportunities, create brand “corporate volunteering” and generate a relational network of great value.
For us Volies is a partner, not a supplier or a mere technical office. We have a win-win relationship, which indicates its degree of contribution to Telefónica and our common strategy.
And in the future
We see Volies moving from leading the relationship, to being an umbrella that carries out and leads projects in which the "brands" unite, managing to unite volunteers from different companies in large mobilizations.
Fundación Telefónica and Corporate Volunteering
Fundación Telefónica carries out the Corporate Volunteering program for the entire group in more than 30 countries. Corporate Volunteering occupies a preferential place in both the Foundation and the group, as it channels the solidarity of all employees, “engages” with their motivation. But it is also the main lever on which to develop projects to combat social and digital vulnerability, in short, to make society more inclusive.
Every year around 60,000 people put on the blue Telefónica Volunteers T-shirt and thanks to their work 1.5 million people have more opportunities.
