We talked with José Criado, FDI's General Manager
We met Volies a few years ago, through companies such as Iberdrola and Orange, who told us about the “guru” of volunteering strategy, Juan Ángel.
As a result, we established an alliance that continues to this day to develop joint corporate volunteering experiences.
Today I can say that it has been a success to take volunteering as a tool/lever that constitutes a transforming axis of society.
Letters against Loneliness
We have carried out many projects together with companies such as Repsol, SAP or Telefónica, but among all of them I would highlight “Letters against Loneliness”, generated as a result of the pandemic.
Thanks to this project, thousands of corporate volunteers were sent to elderly people’s homes, connecting many elderly people with anonymous people who gave them encouragement in such vulnerable times, especially for this group.
Making SDG 17 a reality togethe
Volies has given us, and continues to give us, teamwork, joint development of social activities, solutions for companies.
In short, it has allowed us to work together on SDG 17, related to the need to generate partnerships between entities to achieve the other 16 Sustainable Development Goals, so that we can grow together hand in hand in this sector.
We are convinced that Volies will continue to be a national benchmark for corporate volunteering, outlining strategies to offer services and activities that manage to attract all the actors involved in it.

Fundación FDI was born with the vocation of social and labor integration of people with disabilities and/or in vulnerable situations through sports, education and the environment. To this end, it develops programs that allow its direct implementation with these groups.
For FDI, corporate volunteering is the driving force behind all of the entity’s social action. Thanks to corporate volunteering we generate alliances and strategies together with companies and volunteers to be together loudspeakers of solidarity and firm commitment to improve the world.
