The seventh edition of the Repsol International Volunteer Week (SIVR), has brought together more than 3,500 volunteers in over 20 countries with special emphasis in this edition on energy efficiency, aligning with its goal of promoting a just and inclusive energy transition.
Once again, Fundación Repsol has relied on Volies for the design and identification of activities in all countries where it is present. From a stand at the corporate headquarters of the company, Campus Repsol, where you can carry out volunteering without leaving the office, to online educational workshops on the responsible use of energy, through reforestation activities and cleaning of public spaces, diverse and enriching activities globally for the company.
From Volies we propose a three-pronged strategy based on:
- Recognition of volunteers, carrying out specific events to thank them for their commitment and highlight the impact of their contribution.
- Visibility of volunteering, bringing volunteering in different formats to most locations to facilitate more and more employees to get involved in volunteering opportunities.
- And finally, in line with the objective of Fundación Repsol, the promotion of energy efficiency. Carrying out different initiatives that promote awareness of the importance of energy efficiency in our daily lives.

1,400 Energy Efficiency Kits for vulnerable households
One of the most outstanding activities in relation to this last objective has been the production of energy efficiency kits. These kits included elements such as power strips, timers, LED bulbs and weatherstripping for windows, among others, elements that help to improve energy efficiency in the home and save an estimated €350 per year.
In the assembly of these kits have participated 334 volunteers from different parts of the Iberian Peninsula, reaching a total of 1,400 energy efficiency kits that will be distributed to people and families in vulnerable situations, in what is estimated a total of 3,900 beneficiaries.

The collective energy of the Repsol Volunteers has illuminated the path towards a more sustainable future, where energy efficiency is not just a goal, but an achievable reality.
From Volies we thank all the volunteers who have participated in this special week for their time and dedication.
Until the next edition of the International Volunteer Week!
