The Magic of Coca-Cola: how its first Volunteer Week went

At Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, they believe that real magic happens when people come together to make a positive and lasting impact. That magic, which is an essential part of CCEP, was strongly felt during its Volunteer Week.

Some 850 volunteers participated in a variety of volunteer activities that reflected their commitment to the environment and social inclusion. A week that not only left a mark in the communities, but also in the hearts of those who were part of it.

Around 850 volunteers participated in around 60 activities throughout Spain in collaboration with more than 60 foundations, NGOs, educational entities and associations.

Environment, employability, social inclusion...

The Circular seas  cleanup days on beaches and natural areas and the construction of nesting boxes enabled many employees to become directly involved in protecting the environment.

Social commitment also shone brightly during this week. Activities such as the employability workshop for young people at risk of social exclusion were an opportunity to share knowledge and skills that can make a difference in their future careers.

Volunteers also collaborated in soup kitchens and participated in inclusive leisure activities such as gardening workshops and accompanying the elderly. Through these actions they not only offered direct help to the communities, but also created an environment of human connection, solidarity and collaboration.

The Magic of Coca-Cola

The Volunteering Week is one of the actions developed by the company to promote the corporate volunteering program ‘The Magic of Coca-Cola’, which has the support of the Management Committee, which also participated in this week of volunteering.

The volunteering plan is part of its global sustainability strategy “This is Forward”, which aims to involve employees as agents of social and environmental change, in order to generate a positive impact on the communities in which they are present. To this end, it provides all employees with two paid working days a year for volunteering activities.

Congratulations to the more than 850 volunteers who have put their hands to work and left a mark that goes beyond the visible. And who have shown that, when united for a common cause, something truly magical can be achieved.

From Volies we are extremely grateful to Coca-Cola Europacific Partners for the trust to allow us to accompany them in such a special week!
