As Volies Regional Director for Latin America and Coordinator of Voluntare in Latin America, I have had the opportunity to participate this week in the Social Engagement Summit organized by Atados and Points of Light in Brasil.
We shared a morning meeting with Daniel Morais, director and creator of Atados, along with some guests who are part of the Atados HUB+, a network of companies that aims to bring content, trends and connections to facilitate the social commitment of companies in the most latent causes of society. Something very similar to our role as Voluntare in LATAM.
At the meeting we were able to share our experience on volunteering strategies in Europe and Latin America, the importance of networks and the impact that Voluntare generates in its multiplier effect with companies and NGOs.
Volunteering and ESG: connections
At the Summit, we participated in a panel on sustainability strategies and how volunteering contributes to the ESG indicators of companies, highlighting the issues in which volunteering generates an important return and impact on the development and evolution of companies, such as:
- Employee engagement
- Development of skills and competencies
- Health and well-being
- And other governance issues
Thank you Atados and Points of Ligth for creating these meeting spaces and inviting us to be part of them!
