Just five years ago, Volies was a project with a small team and operations focused primarily on Spain. Today, we have quadrupled in size, becoming an international organization made up of more than forty people from ten different countries, who—with a presence in various countries—share a common purpose: to connect people and organizations to create social impact.
This growth isn’t just measured in numbers. It’s also reflected in the relationships we’ve built, the partnerships we’ve fostered, and the way we now support businesses and social organizations in tackling some of the greatest challenges of our time.
Growing also means asking ourselves new questions. How do we continue to innovate? How do we stay true to our core values while expanding our international presence? How do we build a shared culture when we work from so many different locations?
With these questions as our starting point, we held our Gathering 2026, an event that brought the entire Volies global team together in Madrid.
Over the course of several days, we shared what we’ve learned, analyzed the organization’s evolution, and reflected on the future of corporate volunteering and social impact strategies. But above all, the Gathering was an opportunity to reinforce what makes our work possible: human connection.
Because the larger an organization is, the more important it is to nurture its culture. Coming together, listening to one another, and sharing experiences allows us to continue working as a single team, even though we’re in different places and face different realities. After all, the best ideas and projects arise precisely from that diversity.
Listen to continue increasing our positive impact
The Gathering also served as an opportunity to share the results of our impact. The surveys we’ve conducted among companies, social organizations, and volunteers show high levels of satisfaction and highlight the importance of support, building partnerships, and the quality of the projects we carry out.
But beyond the data, this exercise reminded us that measuring also means listening. This data allows us to identify opportunities for improvement, which is part of how we work and of our commitment to innovation and continuous learning. Because Volies’ future isn’t built solely on projects. It’s built, above all, by the people who make each one of them possible.
In recent years, we have seen how the needs of the organizations we work with have also evolved. The results of the 5th Voluntare Congress, held in Madrid just one day before our Gathering, show us that corporate volunteering is no longer seen solely as a tool for mobilizing people, but as a strategy capable of generating value for companies, strengthening relationships with the community, and fostering a sense of belonging. And that these actions must be intentional in order to achieve greater social transformation.
These changes drive us to continue innovating, to incorporate new methodologies, to develop impact measurement tools, and to design projects that are increasingly connected to today’s challenges.
A brand ready for a new chapter
During the Gathering, we presented the evolution of the Volies brand—a step that goes far beyond a visual update. It is a new expression of who we are today and of the organization we want to continue building in the coming years, guided by a new international motto: People-Powered Impact.
More than just a slogan, it represents our understanding of social change. We believe that the most transformative impact arises when people find spaces to collaborate, share knowledge, and build solutions collectively. That has always been Volies’ purpose and remains so today: to be the driving force that empowers people to become true agents of change within organizations.
Volies’ growth in recent years has allowed us to expand our reach, bring on new talent, and work in more regions than ever before. However, the Gathering showed us something that has remained unchanged since our inception: the conviction that people are the true driving force behind change.
That is why we will continue to invest in these spaces to come together, strengthen our culture, and keep building an organization ready to support businesses, social organizations, and communities in generating an ever-greater positive impact.
