Mexico's first on-site working Café

Last Friday, June 20, the first face-to-face work Café was held in Mexico City, a joint initiative between Ticket for Change Mexico and Volies, with the support of Gentera and Cemefi.

This meeting brought together 10 social organizations from different regions of the country, all committed to generating social impact through corporate volunteering in Mexico.

The objective was to create a space for companies and organizations to connect, share lessons learned, make causes visible, and explore new forms of collaboration that strengthen the corporate volunteering ecosystem.

Connection between companies and social organizations

During the event, the aim was to promote dialogue between the different actors in the private and third sectors, fostering mutual understanding and the identification of common interests. The meeting allowed companies and social organizations to discover new ways of collaborating, beyond the traditional models.

Exchange of experiences and learning

Participants shared their experiences and lessons learned about corporate volunteering in Mexico, highlighting both the successes and challenges they face in implementing their programs. This exchange of experiences enriched the collective vision and planted ideas for future collaborative projects.

New opportunities for collaboration

The working coffee served as a catalyst for the generation of new ideas and alliances. Through collective creativity dynamics, possible collaboration scenarios were designed that will allow companies and social organizations to co-create corporate volunteering programs with a greater impact on the communities.

Among the key issues addressed during the meeting, the following were highlighted:

  • The need to align business objectives with the values and missions of CSOs.
  • The challenges in measuring the social impact generated by corporate volunteer programs.
  • The importance of offering volunteer experiences that are meaningful for both the volunteers and the beneficiary communities.
  • The value of building long-term, sustainable relationships between companies and social organizations.

These lessons learned reflect a shared commitment to continue strengthening corporate volunteering in Mexico as a key tool for social development.

Building an active community around corporate volunteering

The first face-to-face working Café left a very positive energy among the attendees. Beyond individual learning, a sense of community and common purpose was generated: to build genuine and sustainable alliances around corporate volunteering in Mexico.

The testimonies shared during the day reflected the interest to continue collaborating and co-creating, with the vision of consolidating an ecosystem of active companies and CSOs that promote a transformative volunteering in the country.
