Volies will develop the strategy of volunteering with the elderly of Savia Residencias
The leading group of residences in the Valencia region, Savia, and our social enterprise Volies, have joined forces to take volunteering with the elderly to another level in the social and healthcare sector.
Through the signing of the agreement, Volies will carry out in the coming months a strategy and Volunteering Plan, as well as various civic actions that will promote social transformation from the centers.
In order to develop this plan, the following will be carried out:
- External research and benchmarking for the knowledge of the most innovative initiatives in the sector.
- A participatory process through interviews and focus groups with Savia staff, and in which other stakeholders, such as local organizations and other institutions relevant to the day-to-day running of the residences, will also participate.
The defined strategy will include:
- Corporate volunteering activities for Savia employees.
- Establish synergies with other companies to promote volunteering with the elderly among the workers of these companies.
- Collaborations with social and community organizations.
To this end, we plan to carry out activities such as:
- Digitalization and cybersecurity workshops for residents.
- Hip hop workshops or how to learn to cook or knit with grandma, so that younger people can learn from the wisdom of older people, seeking to promote the intergenerational component and put the resident at the center.
