One more year, at Volies we have had the privilege of actively collaborating in the design and coordination of Fundación Repsol’s International Volunteering Week, which took place from June 2 to 8, working alongside more than 30 social organizations in the organization of over 40 activities around the world. This year, the focus was on the strategic goal of reducing the carbon footprint, which led to around 500 plantings and improvements in natural areas.
One of the most innovative milestones was the creation of the volunteer information point at Campus Repsol, the Company’s headquarters. The main objectives of this space were to inform employees about the various volunteering opportunities offered by Fundación Repsol, to give visibility to its social work, and to promote participation in corporate volunteering. It has become a key place to raise awareness, inform, and inspire. In addition, environmental workshops were held, most of them promoting the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
Repsol SIVR Volunteer Week
Fundación Repsol’s International Volunteer Week is a global initiative that celebrates the commitment and solidarity of all the people who dedicate their time and energy to making a positive impact on society.
For one week, employees, retirees and family members from the Repsol environment participated in a wide variety of solidarity activities in more than 25 countries, thus reinforcing the company’s commitment to the communities where it is present.
Throughout this week, actions were carried out in collaboration with local social entities, ranging from attention to vulnerable groups, environmental activities, mentoring, and inclusive workshops, among many others.
This international event not only highlights the value of corporate volunteering, but also promotes collaboration, empathy and social responsibility among the people who form part of Repsol.
Thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of its volunteers, each edition exceeds expectations and demonstrates the commitment of each person.
