Renewing spaces and supporting childhood: Synopsys in Porto
In Maia (Porto), nearly 50 Synopsys volunteers came together to renovate the interior spaces of A causa da Criança, an organization that runs a shelter for children aged 0 to 12 who are at risk.
By repairing and painting walls, volunteers helped create a brighter, warmer and more welcoming environment for both children and staff — a tangible contribution to their daily well-being and emotional safety.
Christmas with purpose: Synopsys in Copenhagen
n Denmark, volunteering was linked to one of the most meaningful moments of the year. During Synopsys’ Christmas celebration in Copenhagen, Volies designed a special volunteering activity in collaboration with Børnehjælpsdag.
A group of 20 volunteers created 20 personalized Advent calendars for children under legal guardianship, turning a festive tradition into a powerful act of care, connection and generosity.
Environmental and social impact combined: Synopsys in Zurich
In Zurich, Synopsys volunteers focused on both social and environmental impact. Together with Die Cuisine and Verein Incontro, 11 volunteers rescued more than 200 kg of surplus food that would otherwise have gone to waste.
These ingredients were transformed into around 150 meals for people in vulnerable situations, proving how corporate volunteering can generate a meaningful triple impact: reducing food waste, supporting communities and raising environmental awareness.
Technology for equal opportunities: Synopsys in Germany
In Germany, Synopsys leveraged its technological expertise through the Tech for Future City Challenge, developed in partnership with Labdoo.
More than 420 volunteers took part in a donation campaign where every €10 helped refurbish a laptop and provide it to a child in need. The initiative helped bridge the digital divide, extended the life cycle of electronic devices and supported a more circular and sustainable economy.
