From Volies -as part of the technical office of Moeve foundation– we coordinate a new edition of the Employability Workshops, with a format focused on practice and accompaniment.
These workshops, organized in collaboration with social entities such as Acción contra el Hambre, Fundación Santa María la Real, Fundación José María de Llanos, Fundación Tengo Hogar, Hogar Betania, Fundación Canaria MAIN and the Victoria Kent Association, were carried out in three different locations and five work centers, including Madrid, Tenerife and San Roque, with the participation of 53 volunteers.

A practical and human approach in speed dating format
The workshops were developed in a “speed dating” format, where each participating woman conducted two mock interviews with different volunteers. This structure allows not only to receive two different perspectives, but also to put into practice the recommendations received in the first interview during the second.
The objective is multiple: to improve preparation for real interviews, to reinforce personal confidence and, above all, to receive constructive feedback that is not usually offered in selection processes. Each session thus becomes a real learning opportunity, adapted to the needs and objectives of each woman.
In addition, a safe, respectful and close environment is promoted, where both participants and volunteers can express themselves freely and naturally. The experience favors the creation of a climate of trust that facilitates the personal and professional development of those who participate.
“Thanks to Moeve Foundation, I had the opportunity to meet women who have or have had a complicated situation. In spite of this, they face life with a desire to overcome and struggle to integrate into the working world. It was a totally enriching experience and from Moeve we hope to have contributed to their progress towards a better future.”
Inmaculada Gil Mena, Change agent (Symec) for the San Roque Energy Park

Prior accompaniment and shared vision
Volunteers received prior online training with guidelines to facilitate the accompaniment and development of these dynamics. It is not necessary to have previous experience in personnel selection: the value lies in sharing a professional view and offering a space for practice with a realistic and empathetic orientation.
From Moeve foundation and Volies we are grateful for the involvement of all volunteers and collaborating entities. These initiatives demonstrate how corporate volunteering can generate a direct and tangible impact on access to employment and the development of key skills for women in vulnerable situations.
