Connecting museums and diverse communities: moving forward with MARVI

During the month of June, Volies Association participated in Faro (Portugal) in the first face-to-face meeting of the MARVI consortium, together with all the European partners of the project.

During these days we have worked side by side to define the next steps and coordinate the implementation of the pilots in Spain and in the other participating countries. These pilots will allow the implementation of an innovative training program aimed at volunteer managers, museum curators and volunteers with a migrant, diasporic or bicultural background.

MARVI (Museum and Restoration Volunteering for Inclusion) is a project co-funded by Erasmus+, which promotes social inclusion through cultural volunteering, reinforcing the capacity of museums as living spaces, open and accessible to all communities.

Thanks to our European partners for the collaboration and inspiration shared in Faro! Now, from Volies, we get down to work to activate the first pilots in museums in Spain.
