The second season of Batallitas has arrived, and it does so with the same warmth and emotion that captivated us in its first edition. Created by Volies and in collaboration with Allianz, this social initiative once again gives a voice to our elders, creating unique encounters that connect generations.
This video podcast has a clear objective: to combat unwanted loneliness in the elderly. Through listening and companionship, seniors share their stories and experiences, while volunteers learn from their wisdom, creating authentic bonds that celebrate the value of each story.
If in the first season AWS InCommunities volunteers visited the residences, this time the experience has taken a very special turn: seven residents of Amavir left their routines to visit the Allianz offices in Barcelona. There, they enjoyed an unforgettable day, full of conversations, smiles and moments that will remain forever in their memories.
A unique meeting in a different place
From the very first moment, the seniors were warmly welcomed by Allianz employees. A tour of the offices served to break the ice, get to know a new environment and, above all, begin to weave bonds with the volunteers. Between chats and laughter, each pair formed by a volunteer and an elderly person found that “little story” that deserved to be remembered and recorded for posterity.
During the day, emotion was present in every corner: there were stories that surprised, anecdotes that made people laugh and memories that touched everyone present.
More than a video podcast, an experience for the soul
Batallitas is not only a space where conversations are recorded, it is a project that connects generations and creates moments of true complicity. Each episode collects the wisdom and legacy of our elders, but also reminds us of the importance of listening, sharing and valuing each story.
With this second season, Volies has once again demonstrated that small gestures can have a huge impact. The seniors, feeling listened to and valued, come out of their routine with a smile. The volunteers, for their part, take home unforgettable memories and lessons for life.
