B Corp Month is a global campaign held every year. Every March, the various B Labs that promote the movement in each country, and the community of B Corp companies around the world, come together to celebrate everything that it means to be a B Corp company, like Volies. A community made up of more than 10,000 companies in over 100 countries around the world, including more than 340 in Spain.
This year, the campaign focuses on the letter B in the logo, as a symbol of ongoing commitment to verified standards in social and environmental practices, responsibility, and transparency. Every B Corp company is different, but the letter B in the logo represents a global movement working together towards a more just, inclusive, and equitable economy. That is what unites us.
The meaning of the B
Have you ever wondered what the B in B Corp stands for? It stands for “Benefit,” but Benefit for everyone. The B in Benefit Corporations brings together companies from around the world that seek to balance economic profit with a positive impact on workers, the community, and the planet.
The slogan “One simple letter, one big meaning” encourages B Corps to share the pride of being part of a community that serves people and the planet, while thanking and celebrating all the people who make it possible every day.
Because it takes a lot for a company to have a positive impact on the world. Numerous daily actions, continuous effort, tangible progress, and rigorous measurements. We know this well because we are committed to doing these things every day.
Although the work is complex, our focus on continuous improvement is simple. Because being a B Corp means translating our values into practices and those practices into progress. And now, with the new B Lab Standards pushing us to raise the bar in the future, being a B Corp is just the beginning of all the progress we want to achieve.
