L’Oréal España, a leader in the beauty industry, together with Forética, Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible, the StepByWater Alliance, and Volies, leaders in their respective fields, have officially signed The Pact, a collaborative movement designed to drive more responsible and sustainable business practices, transforming them into everyday habits.

This alliance is founded on a shared vision and a set of common objectives that will benefit both the organizations involved and society as a whole. Among its key goals are:

  1. Strengthening collaboration among organizations deeply committed to the well-being of people and the planet.

  2. Actively contributing to reducing the carbon footprint and promoting a more conscious and engaged society.

  3. Expanding the message’s reach to consumers and citizens, encouraging more people to join this movement through all available communication channels.

  4. Building a strong sense of community and establishing common commitments across the entire value chain of the participating organizations.

This strategic alliance represents not only a step forward for the industry but also a declaration of intent, a collective commitment to move from impact to pact and to contribute actively to building an environment where both organizations and individuals take meaningful action.

As part of their commitment to The Pact, the participating organizations have agreed to maintain an open and constructive dialogue to identify opportunities for improvement and collaboration, as well as to promote joint initiatives and projects that encourage responsible practices in key areas such as climate change, water management, and community engagement.

“The Pact represents the union of committed leaders who understand that today’s greatest challenges require joint solutions and a deeply collaborative spirit,” said Juan Alonso de Lomas, CEO of L’Oréal Groupe Spain & Portugal.

“This alliance turns will into action, transcending sectors and uniting us under shared goals: accelerating climate transition, strengthening circular economy, preserving nature, and supporting communities. It is an open invitation to bring more partners together to expand our collective impact and advance tangible, long-lasting change.”

Germán Granda, General Director of Forética, added: “At Forética, we believe collaboration is essential to move towards a more sustainable business, economic, and social model. The Pact is a reflection of a shared commitment to promote climate action and responsible innovation, joining forces to create real and lasting impact.”

May López, Director of Development at Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible, highlighted: “As citizens and as organizations, we must drive more sustainable mobility, not only because transport accounts for over a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, but because collaboration is key to creating change. We join The Pact because we share its purpose: raising awareness and working together to generate impact.”

Juan Ángel Poyatos, Founder and CEO of Volies, emphasized “Being part of The Pact reinforces our commitment as a B Corp to social justice and collective action as the true engine of business transformation. At Volies, we believe that only through collaboration among committed organizations can we create systemic impact capable of transforming not only how we do business but also the role companies play in society. As a social enterprise, we understand sustainability as a matter of relationships, between companies, people, and communities. That’s why we add our voice to promote collective, transformative actions like this, in pursuit of the common good.”

Raquel Paiz, Head of Communication and Strategy at StepByWater Alliance, stated “For StepByWater, a pioneering multi-sector alliance formed by over thirty organizations from different fields and industries, supporting impactful initiatives such as The Pact for the Future, promoted by our partner L’Oréal, is essential to continue spreading awareness about the vital importance of protecting water, our planet’s most valuable resource. L’Oréal’s inspiring leadership shows that when major brands commit, they can transform much more than their own industry, they can mobilize entire societies towards necessary causes like water conservation, even from everyday actions like taking a shower.”

The Pact aims to become a catalyst for change, fostering collaborative innovation among organizations and third parties by sharing ideas, experiences, and resources to develop solutions that generate genuine positive impact and inspire others to join.

Commitment to sustainability and ESG criteria has become a decisive factor for business success in 2025. According to data from the United Nations Global Compact, four out of five companies investing in sustainability already report direct economic benefits, demonstrating that the transition toward responsible business models is the only viable path to ensure long-term competitiveness and prosperity within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
